Orchard Equestrian is a medium sized BHS Approved yard, offering Lessons for all ages and abilities, private and semi private and full Livery packages, to suit individual needs in a professional yet relaxed atmosphere.

We also offer riding holidays with a block of lessons for those requiring a more challenging holiday. Acomodation is available in Alpine Grove Touring Park which is directly opposite us.

Our aim is to offer an individual service with attention to detail and an approachable attitude.

Orchard Equestrian is owned by Trish and John Spargo, who along with their son Joshua live on site. Working with us is Lucy Gardner. Lucy has been with us since leaving school and has her NVQ 1, 2 and 3 and BHS 1 and 2. Lucy is currently aiming for her teaching and stage 3. In our absence Lucy takes charge of the yard and schools the horses.

We compete on a regular basis in  affiliated dressage and horse trials. Trish regularly trains with Adam Kemp and Trudi Robinson. We also breed good quality horses for dressage and eventing.

We are situated in the small village of Forton which lies between Chard and Crewkerne. We are well placed for a number of hunts including Cotely and Taunton Vale. We are also close to a number of show centres including The Hand, Kingston Maurwood, Bicton, Moreton, Wellbeck and Badgeworth.
